ANINRI: Okereke, Ajah emerge Leader, Deputy, Legislative Council

The Aninri legislative Council has elected the leader , Deputy leader and other principal officers to run the affairs of the 9th legislative council at the legislative Chamber of the Council.

The councilor representing Okpanku ward, Emmanuel Chukwu Okereke emerged the Leader of the House while Simeon Ajah, who represents Mpu Ward was elected as Deputy Leader.
Other principal officers including; Vitus Uchenna Eze representing Oduma Ward 1 and Loiusa Achieze representing Ndeabor ward also emerged as Majority Leader and Chief Whip.
The leader of the House, Emmanuel Chukwu was nominated by Simeon Ajah , councillor representing Mpu Ward, seconded by Victor Chinedu Orji representing Nenwe Ward 1.



His nomination was affirmed by members of the Legislative Council.
Also, Simeon Ajah’s Emergence as Deputy Leader followed his nomination by Vitus Uchenna Eze who represents the good people of Oduma Ward 1 and seconded by Louisa Achieze.
The Clerk of House , Barrister S. U. UDEH who moderated the proceedings leading to the election of the Leader of the Aninri Legislative Council , earlier confirmed attendance of the members through a roll call and administered the Oath of Office and allegiance on the Leader of the House.
Speaking on behalf of the elected officers, the newly elected Leader of the House , Emmanuel Chukwu Okereke thanked members for considering the elected officers worthy to lead the legislative council to an enviable height and assured to carry members along.
He said the House will work with the Chairman of the Council, Ezekiel Chukwu to bring speedy development to the area and thanked him for providing the enabling environment for inauguration of the 9th Legislative Council.
