Cleric charges Christians to be light of the world
Christians have been admonished to have a firm spiritual relationship with God and imitate the good work of his son Jesus Christ in other to inherit his kingdom.
The Minister-in-Charge and Dean St Andrew’s cathedral, Presbyterian Church of Nigeria reverend Bassey Ayek who gave the charge on Sunday advised young girls to be desirous of accomplishing their purpose of existence on earth by always doing the right thing.
He stressed the need for them to be rooted in the word of god so that they will not depart from the way of God.
Earlier while delivering a sermon with the theme: Christian Girl; Work as a Child of Light, a child evangelist Chidire Kalu stated that Christianity can only be measured on one’s personal relationship with god not family affiliation and urged everyone to live in the way of Christ.
Kalu further enumerated some qualities of a child of light to include love, purity, and knowledge of the word of God, among others.
