A House of Assembly aspirant and the People’s Democratic Party Candidate for Awgu North State Constituency in the 2019 House of Assembly Election, Mrs Jane Chinwendu Eneh has commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his numerous achievements in infrastructural, economic and human capital development in the state.
Mrs Jane Chinwendu Eneh from who made the commendation in a statement said Governor Ugwuanyi has discharged his responsibilities since assumption of office with diligence, dedication and commitment.
According to her, Governor Ugwuanyi’s emergence as the sole candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for the 2019 governorship election is a testament to his sterling performance and wide acceptance by critical stakeholders in the state.
Eneh who is native of Agbudu in Awgu local government area also hailed the Governor for providing an enabling environment for businesses to drive which she said resulted to the emergence of Enugu as second in the World Bank Ease of Doing Business report.
“There is no doubt that governor Ugwuanyi has discharged his responsibilities as a governor with tremendous diligence, dedication and commitment”.
“Little wonder, then, that today Enugu state ranks high in the comity of Nigerian states where government is working and the people are happy”.
“Under his Excellency, Enugu state was rated second in Nigeria by the World Bank among the states with the greatest ease of doing business”.
“The primaries of the People’s Democratic Party were conducted peacefully in Enugu state unlike other states where the exercise created chaos, mayhem and acrimony.
She attributed the victory of Rangers International Football Club of Enugu in the 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League and their excellent performance in the just concluded AITEO cup to Ugwuanyi’s love for sports development which she said inspired the club and management to break over 35 years jinx.
“We cannot fail to place on record the fact that it is under Governor Ugwuanyi’s regime that the darling football, club of the Igbos, rangers international football club, Enugu, lifted the AITEO F.A. cup in Asaba after thirty-five years”.
“The FA Cup had been literally pocketed by Rangers international football club in the 70s until they lost some degree of bearing”.
“It was only last month that Rangers was able to win the cup again, thanks to the great support of Rt. Hon. Ugwuanyi to the football Professional League Cup In 2016, after thirty-two years”.
“Therefore, governor Ugwuanyi has brought to Enugu state both the league and F.A cups during his tenure”.
She called on Enugu people to continue to support the Governor to achieve the policies and programmes of his administration.
