Enugu Community impeaches Town Union President
The Enugu State ministry of Rural Development has ratified the impeachment of Chief Goodwin Inyaba as the Town Union president General of Aguikpa Oruku community in Nkanu East local government area of the state by the people.
The president who has been replaced by his kindsman, Hon. Simon Uchenna Ogbu in accordance with the community constitution was impeached based on inreconciable issues with the general assembly.
According to the letter dated 6th July 2020, signed by HRH,Igwe Cornelius Anike Nomeh and received by the ministry on 13th July 2020, Chief Godwin Inyaba has been inconsistent with the administration of the Aguikpa Oruku among other issues.
The letter stated further that he was impeached by his people at their meeting held at the resident of Chief Edwin Ogbu, chairman council of elders .
However, after due consultations with both sides, Prince Emeka Mamah Hon Com ministry of Rural Development asked him to return the certificate of return issued to him on July 2020, which he has returned.
