…Calls for sustained collaboration to maintain peace and security in Enugu State

In a view to ensuresustained collaboration and synergy between the Police, the Military and other Security Agencies in Enugu State, the Commissioner of Police, *CP Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu* _*psc*_, has embarked on a courtesy/familiarization tour of duty to Heads of Military and Sister Agencies.

Among those visited by the Commissioner are: Major General Lasisi Adegboye (the General Officer Commanding, 82 Division of the Nigerian Army Enugu), Air Comodore Chidiebere Obiabaka (Commander, 553 Base Services Group, Nigerian Air Force Enugu), Mr. Brown Ekwoaba (State Director, Department of State Security Service, Enugu State Command) and Mr. E. V. Afrika (Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, Enugu State Command).

Others include: Mr. Emelue Chiedu (Controller, Nigerian Correctional Service, Enugu State Command), Mr. Joachim Olumba (Comptroller, Nigerian Immigration Service, Enugu State Command), Mr. Abdul Abdullahi (Commander, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Enugu State Command) and Mr. Ogbonna Kalu (Sector Commander, RS91 of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Enugu).

The CP, who was warmly received by the various Heads alongside members of their Management Team, used the opportunity of the visits to formally familiarize with them, while calling for sustained synergy and collaboration in the maintenance of peace and security in the State. He notes that despite the Police being the lead Agency in internal security, it still needs maximum cooperation from others.

The various Heads thanked the Commissioner for the visits and wished him a successful tenure in the State, while reiterating commitment to sustain existing synergy and collaboration with the Police to maintain security and peace as well as the State retaining its status as one of the safest in the country.

The Commissioner was accompanied in the tour by DCP Ahmed Garba (Deputy Commissioner Operations), ACP Fidelis Ogarabe (Assistant Commissioner, State CID), ACP Dauda Ayuba (Commander, No. 3 PMF, Enugu), SP Abdulkareem Adewale (Commander, CTU Base 10, Enugu), amongst others.
