ESUT Uncovers illegal satellite campus in Port-Harcourt

The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has uncovered fake campus of the institution in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state.

A statement by the ESUT Registrar, Leonard Khama disclosed that investigation carried out by the University revealed that one Seal Institute of Management and Administration limited was responsible for the illegal ESUT satellite campus.

The statement reads in part:

“The attention of the Management of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has been drawn to a large sign banner with the inscription “Enugu state University of Science and Technology” mounted along km 17 Aba/Port- Harcourt expressway Iriebe, Port –Harcourt .”

“Investigation by the University has revealed that a certain director of “Seal Institute of Management and administration limited Port-Harcourt “, was operating an illegal ESUT satellite campus in a primary school in the area where the university’s programme in management and environmental sciences were being run”.

“The Management of Enugu State Science and Technology (ESUT) is appalled by these findings and wishes to reiterate that ESUT had for no long time ceased to operate satellite campus in any part of the country, following the NUCs directives to this effect”.

“Consequently, ESUT disclaims any liability in connection with the use of certificate purported to have been issued in the name of ESUT by or through the said “seal institute of management and administration limited Port-Harcourt” as the university never had any form of official relationship with the institute.”
