The Senior Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on Empowerment & Human Capital Development, Dr. Emeka Asogwa has resigned.

Asogwa was former Special Assistant to Ugwuanyi on Youth Development during his first term in office.

He is probably the first Aide to resign his appointment in the state in recent time.

Asogwa who adduced his reason for quitting his appointment to sowing the next phase of his life to national and global assignments said he may return to politics in heaven’s appointed time.

The President, Wisdom Foundation for Youth Development and Founder, Gburuism; a concept which has gained wide acceptance said he has become poorer with politics saying “So my years of GBURUISM were more of a life of ministry than politics”.

Asogwa who has conveyed his intention to resign his appointment to Governor Ugwuanyi , commended him for the opportunity offered him to serve but appealed to the governor “to empower Nsukka youth a step further before he leaves office.”

According to him;

“I want to sow this phase of my life fully into national and global assignments. I have never been in local politics because of money. I shall RETURN when heaven approves.

“My talents have always paid me more than my government job. But my assignments in government, both the time I was appointed and this time reappointed, have always taken all of my passion that I can testify that POLITICS made me poorer that I was before I joined government.

“It’s time to take this shocking but necessary decision my family, mentors and friends.

“I am highly apostolic. And I know that many who desire to get to where I am politically may say/talk as if they are my God while others who are visionary will be inspired by my decision to now STEP ASIDE from Politics as I clock 40years on January 5, next year.

“I have thanked and communicated my Governor for the opportunity to serve in his government and pleaded with him to do his best to empower Nsukka youth a step further before he leaves office.

“That was my only request to the government that I passionately served as SA on Youth Development, SSA on Empowerment & Human Capital Development as well as the DG GBURUISM.

“Nsukka young people need consolidated empowerment as political power rotates every 8years. I know my governor has the good heart to grant this my request for Ideke youth.

“Let the youth through this my selfless action now know that life is not just about politics. There is still fulfilling life in business and career beyond politics. All of us must not be there.

“I will always be grateful to my boss the governor for giving me the opportunity to serve in his government. Gburugburu is a good man
