READ FULL TEXT OF THE STATEMENT:
“Our prime objective is to foster unity in diversity such that seeks to promote good governance through qualitative leadership, integrity and commitment to excellence while encouraging peaceful co-existence and most importantly protection of the lives and property of every Nigerian regardless of socio-political, cultural and religious affiliations”.
“May we observe a moment of solitude to the family of Deborah Samuel a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto who was murdered over alleged blasphemy.
“We would like to communicate our position on the limited premium being placed on the life of the Nigerian youth.
“It is truly disheartening to note the deteriorating and rather condescending value the Nigerian government places on the life of its citizens.
“We have been denied our rights of existence. We have been denied our education. We have been denied our means of livelihood. We have become refugees in our own land, and yet we have a government which promised to protect lives and property
“We are fed up with the manifesto lies
We are fed up with the vote buying
This time around we are truly *fed up*
“We will continue to fight with the weapons which cannot be taken away from us; “our voice” and “our choice”.
The common voice of the Nigerian people can never be muted and we have a choice of determining whether to proceed with the Nigerian project. We have a choice of determining how we wish to be governed and whom we wish to govern us
“We condemn vehemently the wanton massacre of our youth and demand federal executive government swift action on the following;
Immediate rescue of all kidnap hostages held by terrorist
Immediate implementation of the resolutions of the national youth congress on End SARS demonstration
Provision of all the demands of ASUU
Prosecution of key perpetrators in the murder of Deborah Samuel
